Growing up Black and Jewish, award-winning actor, comic, writer, and beatboxer Joshua Reuben Silverstein takes us on a tour of his outrageously funny world. Sometimes an outcast and sometimes a special and exotic addition to friends’ scrapbooks of life, he opens his comedy act by announcing, “Hello, my name is Joshua Reuben Silverstein – and if you’re confused by that—yooooou’re a racist!” Embracing his role of being the only Black Jew in the world -- besides Lenny Kravitz – his discovery that many Jews of color exist and flourish cause him to question whether he’s as “special” as he thought. The answer will make you laugh and melt your heart.
