Harmonia
Filmmaker Ori Sivan (co-creator of Israel's "In Treatment") presents a contemporary variation of the biblical story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar. Sarah, a harpist of the Jerusalem Philharmonic Orchestra is married to Abraham, its conductor. When Hagar, a young Palestinian horn player joins the orchestra, the thin balance in their family is shaken. HARMONIA uncovers the metaphoric emotional roots of the ancient conflict between the two peoples living in Jerusalem, now seeking harmony through a dramatic encounter between Western and Eastern music.

"“Harmonia” is not so much the recasting of a biblical story as it is a sophisticated retelling of a classic myth that brings forward fresh possibilities for peace and love." - Judy Bolton-Fasman, Jewish Boston
