Farewell Mr. Haffmann
Paris, 1941. When the Nazis invade France, a Jewish jeweler (Daniel Auteuil, Caché) is forced to make a false agreement to sell his shop and home to his assistant to save his business. Unable to escape with the rest of his family, he is forced to hide in the basement of his own house, with dire consequences for all involved.
The legendary Daniel Auteuil gives one of his most superlative screen performances in the gripping historical drama from writer/director Fred Cavayé, based on Jean-Philippe Daguerre’s celebrated, multi Molière Award-winning play.
